Yep, sometimes I feel that backwards being left-handed.

I mouse with my left hand, but don't have the buttons reversed. Yep, I click my middle finger thousands of times a day. Index finger is for right-clicking.

I find that I tend to do things with either one hand or the other. I play guitar right handed (not that there's anything wrong with that, Sir Paul!), bowl left-handed. I can only handle keys with my right hand when locking/unlocking doors.

How about you?

Left handed person here.

I've adapted to a right handed world. I use the mouse, play guitar, pretty much most hand-specific activities with my right hand. I write/use a stylus with my left hand though.

I'm fairly ambi-dextrous. I'm mainly right-handed, but I can write with my left (which comes in handy when looking up something on the computer, have my right hand on the mouse, and need to jot something down). I generally eat with my left hand.

I shoot pool lefty. I can shoot righty if I have to, I can make the bridges with either hand. I've had more than one really good shooter tell me that not much scares them more than a righty that shoots lefty. Not sure what that's all about.

I'm fairly ambidextrous, so sorry if I'm not invited to the party, but I often switch hands for different activities. I use either hand for eating with forks, knives, spons and chopsticks. I was a switch-hitter in baseball/softball and I sometimes write left-handed, though not as well. Heh, recently actually, I entertained a few friends while I was painting, using both hands at once. Of course, there was wine involved for that.

I do the mousing thing too, sometimes! Especially when I'm using my Wacom with my right hand, I'll mouse with the left.

Ooh, I'm also rather dextrous with my feet. Anyone else? My toes are very strong, and I'm a pretty good climber with my shoes off. I can grab things, fold clothes and I once trained myself to tie shoelaces with my feet. lol, not my own, of course - now that would be impressive.

I do everything right handed that I can think of, but like Lith, I can shoot pool with either hand. I'm about 85% at shooting with my left, but it comes in handy where the shot is too tricky right handed.

I *have* shot pool lefty when needed. I've tried using chopsticks lefty and am usually unsuccessful. Though I'm sure I'd get better with practice.

Wow, I do the same thing, even though not a leftie, I can't shoot pool right-handed. Then again, I can't shoot pool left-handed all that well either.

Lefties in my personal canon of famous people:

Harpo Marx
Charlie Chaplin
Bill Mauldin
Robert Crumb

Also, de facto lefties: H.T. Webster, who learned to draw laft-handed after arthritis threatened to ruin his cartooning career, and Wingy Manone, who lost his right arm in a childhood accident, which didn't stop him from becoming a famous jazz trumpeter.

Hey Garricks, is it possible to add a poll to this thread? I'd like to know the percentage of left, right and genuine ambi designers here. I'd heard that lefties are generally more creative so it stands to reason that GDF should have a higher percentage of lefties than the general population.

Mr Buda is a leftie but uses his mouse with his right hand. He plays video and computer like a right hander. I think all those years of practice helped make it natural. He plays pool left, bats right and punches left.

He found out that only his brother is a rightie in their leftie family. Yup, mum, dad and he are all lefties. How he only realised this at age 30-something is beyond me!

Im a righty, but I *apparently* think like a left handed worker, since I do most of my daily activities at work like a left handed person. (at least according to my co-workers, LOL)
