wow. Quite the hassle there, Gromit! Hopefully they get all their shit in a pile and things finally start to go easy for you. I can't believe what a long process this has been for you. It's been less than 2 weeks since we made our offer, and we've already had our finances approved, our home inspection done, our condo docs reviewed by a specialist (we're meeting with them tomorrow to go over everything). All that's left is to fill out a few forms for the government so that we can cash in our RRSP for our down payment (tax free) then meet with the lawyer and start getting the title transferred over and write the biggest cheque of our lives...

Never had to deal with the Veteran's Administration. But I have friends who all have the same horror stories, Gromit. You'd think they'd have sorted it out over there by now. Everything from loans to medical bills.
You guys deserve better.

EVERYTHING but the VA form is in place. Inspections, appraisals, and such are so done. The VA: Slower than a speeding glacier.

I know this is in very bad taste, but I am in a place that only a rooftop and an AK47 might fix.

Still waiting on the DD256. But the loan is progressing based on that form coming along.
