Linked Text Boxes-Justification

I am using Quark 7. I have text boxes linked on my master pages. Each text box has various justifications set, some to the top and others to the bottom. When processing my files, I am required to copy and paste copy from one box to another. When doing so, the copy from the previous text block is ignoring the setting for justification. Although set to bottom, the copy moves to the top. I try to reset the box, but it does not alter the position. The only way I can find to rest it is to close my file and reopen. Since I make PDF images, I presumed the real setting would take place while creating a .PS of the file but it retains the incorrect setting. Is someone aware of this issue and, more importantly, how to correct it?
Thanks
