Profiles took WAY too long to load, and needs a back button. Other than that I really like it!

We don't have nearly enough knowledge to command AS3, but ideally, we really wanted to implement multiple preloaders to load various parts of the site when the user gets to it, or perhaps make the site load progressively when the user idles on a page or something. If anyone can just show us a simple example, or any resource to do this, we would appreciate it dearly.
And sadly, these are profile pictures so they can't escape not being compressed heavily to speed loads

Personally the profiles page loaded quickly, but I'm blessed with wonderful internet. The website looks great, but as Garricks mentioned I would change the profile page, opening in a new window is something of the past in my honest opinion. But really, great work!
