OK! It's official. I'm an idiot!

(no one agree, now.) LoL

Seriously, I think that I focus and concentrate so hard that I do NO recognize the obvious, or maybe I think that I do everything wrong.
Either way, I figured this morning instantly what I was doing wrong.

Opened the document and whalaa:

- The document did have the purple bar at the top indicating that it was an interactive form, and the fields could be filled out with Acrobat.

- I wasn't selecting the arrow (Select - option - to the left of the hand tool - at the top). DUH!

- Once I selected this tool, I was able to type into the interactive fields.

Since the original .pdf was created to allow filling of form fields, I was able to type in my information.

Duh, Duh, Duh!
I'm an indiot!

Or, you can just open the PDF in adobe illustrator and drop the text in the right places on a new layer as you would in any other document. i do this all the time.

greedo,
WOW! Thank you so much.

I had NEVER thought of that.

Actually, that would be great, because that would work for flat (non-interactive) forms all the time, right?

Thank you!

I'm glad you figured it out.

Hey BeautyNut, if you need any help in Acrobat check out AcrobatUser.com. They have some tutorials on Acrobat and other related Acrobat stuff. They have a tutorial on using the typerwriter tool to type on pdf forms. Also, check out AdobeTV.com for more tutorials on Acrobat and other Adobe software.

Hopefully these resources will be helpful to you.

greedo,
Thank you again!

Syphon,
Thank you so much.
I'm glad that my dumbass figured it out, too!

I definitely appreciate those websites, and I will definitely be checking them out. As you can tell, I certainly need more help learning Acrobat.

I have, yet, to figure out the typewritier tool, and I want to.
Those resources will be of big help, thank you so much.
