pfft unicorn bacon is so 2008. its all about narwhal sushi now.

bladez - try www.sxc.hu - free stock photography that might suit your purposes. has helped me deal with tight bosses and their hatred of paying for good photography! (make sure you read the license agreement first though - but a decent photo might only cost you a couple of bucks at most).

Thanks Paj,
we use SXC quite a bit around here, because it's the only place we can get free shots. But lemme tell ya...after a while, it gets really hard not to use the same photo over and over, because there's only so many. And because its oil and gas magazines, it really narrows things down. (i.e. Pump jacks - aka grasshoppers - there's really only like 3 or 4 good ones on there.) Anyways, even if they only cost a couple bucks, the publisher still says no. We got in trouble for using a free photo, and all we had to do was send a free copy of the mag to the guy. He lived in Lebanon, so to get the mag there cost about $15....that didn't go over very well.

But, I managed to put some piece of crap together and get it out the door. It works. Sorta. If they complain about it, then I'll mention that a photography budget would make a huge difference. That'll shut them up. (but it won't get me a budget)
