The Santa Clara County Coroner released details of famed-artist Thomas Kinkade's autopsy and found that he died of "acute ethanol and Diazepam intoxication."
In layman's terms, he died of an overdose of alcohol and valium.

Sendack, sad, but he was 83, and he seemed to have had a pretty good life. I read an interview with him about a year ago, and it was clear that he was ready for death, or at least mentally prepared for the inevitable. I think he said something along the line that he regretted he didn't have the courage to come out while his parents were still alive, but that's not uncommon for a man of his generation. At least he lived to see a world in which that's become more socially acceptable than it used to was.
Kincaid, booze and sleeping pills...not really out of character. It's the suburban, middle class O.D., it's not really as shocking as if he were doing meth or something.
