Help me re-create this 3d Text
Hi everyone,
I am a making myself a website with Photoshop which i can work pretty well for as a Novice, but i want to make a 3D Text-Header like the one shown below:
http://one1media.com/vybe4/main.png
I am trying to recreate this in Cinema 4D but i think my knowledge is lacking.
Is anyone able to help me out of this matter, and if it's a simple thing to do, maybe send me the project file? This would be highly appreciated!
Greetings,
Robert

Yeah, I'm sure the OP is gonna run right out and buy a $$$ program to create a logo that could easily be done (and should be done) in Illustrator.

Thanks for the replies guys. PrintDriver, you are mentioning Illustrator. You think the 3d Header is also created in Illustrator?
The thing i wasn't able to re-make was the Material/skin that the 3d header text has.

Tutorials in metal surfaces might help
It's a relatively simple Illustrator gradient that would have to be applied to each letter individually. The extrusion on there is something that would have to be hand drawn or applied to each letter individually. No Easy button.
I know you said web only, but logos (even just headers) should be vector.

these are my thoughts. but fyi in the future, Maya is free to students from autodesk. it is also the full program, not the C4D demo program with half the features. I agree that the logo should be done in AI though

sounds like it's going to be done in Cinema 4d.
Great for video/broadcast stuff. Not so great for logos.
so much for 'the right tools for the job'.
I didn't know Maya was free to students. With ID, right?
Good to know.
Thanks.

Going well on the Cinema 4D project, until i have to save my project as .png!
When i do so, the Red text i made becomes ORANGE when opening in Photoshop.
