If you're not a professional designer, why don't you find one? (Or is that why the client hired you?)

Is it really that hard to type complete words? Sorry that's just niggles at me.

Ok, without seeing the brief it's impossible to tell. Without talking to the client it's impossible to tell what they were not satisfied with.

Can you give a bit more history to the project and what the clients feedback was.

Perhaps
because of
characterless design
use of type
layout...
etc.
?

That drives me crazy too. I can't even do it in a text message. I feel like an idiot.

I don't mind spelling errors on forums, or bad grammar. But that "txt typing" thing is a nightmare to read on a forum.

Fair enough I've done it in text messaging so I don't go over the character limit. But I avoid it if possible.

I do feel that if you're going to post something for critique on a graphic design forum to have a bit of sense and type out your sentence, all the other larger words made it into the sentence uncut, yet "have" turned into "hv" somehow.

Ok rant over.

To be honest the designs look plain and the logo is completely lost in the size it's at.

The Venue and Date are equally as important as the name of the seminar/conference/event etc. It should be given equal prominence. You don't need people looking at it and wondering where the event is at or what date to attend.

There's no website, contact information, phone number, contact name or anything like that.

Surely there should be a tagline, a "Call to Action" happening on the poster that grabs the readers attention. But it has nothing.

The poster doesn't tell us the story. It has no start, middle or end.

And that's just without seeing a brief.

is it personalitycube or personality cube? these posters don't really explain what they are for either. you need to put info into a poster not just your text here.

Hi Niks,
Sorry, It would be difficult to critique or even give you suggestions on this. 1.Not knowing the background on it 2.There is not enough of a deisgn here to really even make suggesitons on.

As it is, it is not complete but looks completely random throw downs. But hey I know first hand that If you try to design yourself with no fundamentals, randomness and frustration is often the result. And to be doing this for a customer isn't the time you want on the job training IMO. "When in doubt, hire it out.."

Otherwise, if you are newer to this and want to try to Do it yourself and want to get some great primers on concepts I highly recommend

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/032...1NHK2TF#reader

This will be an invaluable guide giving you some solid fundamental principles and ideas. No guarantees it will solve your problems but IMO would be an absolute must before even attempting something on your own.
