All you GDFers who celebrate the holiday. and for those who don't....Happy Thursday!

Soon I will be off to get some food today and then drive some more for the other family side then home. I forgot I didn't eat anything so far today.

Happy Thanksgiving, BJMR, and the same to the rest of GDF.

I'm thankful that I have a forum like this to hang out in.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

Well the bird is roasting and most everything is done. Right now I'm in that weird downtime between the prep insanity and the last half hour insanity.

I've got a couple of things in the oven, and am getting ready to start on my own dish, Belgian potato salad. My husband's over at the potluck house slowly dropping a bird into hot oil in the deep fryer, probably as I type this. Then one of the folks at the potluck house will be picking me up with the stuff I made, and it's on! We should be sitting down to eat in a couple of hours.

Happy Turkey Day all your turkey munchers!

I want turkey...Turkey isn't really popular here. Though Subway here does sell a funny version of turkey. I think that's the extent of my turkey eating. Subway. That's sad isn't it?

Oh, buda, roast turkey and smoked turkey are truly amazing things.

I believe you kiwis eat more lamb and goat than most of us do. I've never eaten goat, and though I love lamb I haven't cooked it in years.

Do your butchers have turkeys?

I imagine you can get turkeys here but maybe they are expensive because I've never bought it. I'm 90% sure my butcher doesn't have turkey. I know my way pretty well around our butchers and I'd notice a pile of big ole turkeys!

We do eat copius amounts of lamb though. God I love lamb...

Well my out of town trip got canceled

To tell you the truth Buda I'd rather eat lamb any day than turkey.
