It looks quite nice. Whats the 09/10 signify? Also out of curiosity whats the v above the A in the logo about?

The V above the A is for aesthetics... And the 09/10 is the year.

Bojangles, Wendys, Hardees, Pizza Hut, Dennys, Sonic... hard to tell who rips who off. But I guess they have a reason for that colour - it sells food, fast.

Gotta say I don't think that is obvious... but perhaps it is that here in Canada semesters are considered, Fall 2009 or Winter 2010 or Summer 2010. We would never call it 09/10.
That would be a grade school year, not a college/uni semester.
At any rate... I think it is not obvious without an explanation.
