No emotion! No spark!

hi,

and thanks to give some of your time.

I'm working on a logo since now 5 days and i cannot find the little (or big) thing that will spark the " magic". My logo looks flat, no expression and without taste.

The logo is for a clinical research company in Austria.
I'm about to throw the concept and explore other path, but something still keeps me on this logo and push me to give it a chance.

I have to say that the heartbeat (clinical environment) cutting the circle (solution, protection, perfection etc...) in a way to form a quartile as a pie graph (studies, statistic, analyse, etc...) is a pretty good concept.

I don't like the colors, even if client likes them and I also can't deal with the name's position because the words are very different in length.

So any critic is welcome and any help very much appreciated.
I thank you all for your effort.

Estyl

Get rid of "trail management" and flip the heartbeat thing around vertical axis (its sort of implying that someone died lol) and make the flat line the top of a "T", and the spiking part the "m" maybe? Use the text "trail management" under it or to the side? Basically, make what you have an emblem. And if you want to play up the pie graph thing more, then get rid of the shine on that ball.. maybe consider having more than two sections in the pie graph (introduce some more colors?) Also, I don't like that font. I don't think any condensed font would look good.

WOW you are so right, haven't realized that I have a flat line there! depressing.
the "T" and "M" thing could work will give it a try

...and for the pie graph maybe 2 colors sections coming a little bit out and apart

Thank you

How married are you to the colors? I would make the heartbeat red or orange.

just to the blue, that is a client request, for the heartbeat something different should be ok.

Maybe a little dot at the end of the heartbeep, with a slight glow. Like you see on a monitor.
