What is the best software? Price doesn't matter.
I want the best software there is for developing commercial graphics.

For what specific purpose? Adobe stuff is generally the industry standard no matter what you are doing. But what specifically?

logos - illustrator - some use Corel Draw
Industrial - what is that?
3D - 3d studio max or Maya
