Creating Typefaces? Which Software?

Hi Everyone!
I would like some advice. Which software would you recommend for creating my own fonts/typefaces. I am brand new, so nothing too complex, but something also that works well.
Thanks
Kim

Welcome to the Forum!

The letter guy will stop by shortly and let you know. I've never created typefaces so I can't tell you.

I haven't heard from court in a while either. Last I heard from him he landed a great job developing a font for Miller! He didn't have an internet connection yet, but I think he was working on it..?

Issue 57 of Computer Arts Projects has a few great tutorials on creating your own fonts. They use ScanFont and TypeTool...which I've never heard of...?
Fontographer seems to be the big one that most people use.
