Quark 6 PROBLEMS

First problem:
Has anyone else has problems trying to output to PDF from Quark 6 with DCS files containing a spot colour plate?

I just had to lay two jobs out again from scratch using InDesign CS and do the job in that. Luckily there were only 6 pages in total.

Most of the time the PDFs crashed as they were opening - I got an error message saying the file was damaged and being repaired, then a message saying it couldn't be repaired.

When I finally managed to get something out of it, the DCs file wouldn't show at all. All I got was the text on top.

Second problem:
TIFFs and EPSs in picture boxes print with a thin white line at the top of the box (about 0.3mm). Neither I nor my repro house can find any explanation for this.

Both these problems seem universal - i.e. they happen on all the work I produce. The problems seemed to start after installing Adobe CS. I have re-installed CS since then and this has not fixed the problem.

Am considering switching entirely to InDesign CS - that's how bad it is...

I switched to ID a few months back and haven't looked back. I was a Quark man through my whole career and I'm glad I switche4d cause I hear of a lot of problems with 6. If you do a search you will see a lot of people have had similar issues to you. Look in those threads and you MIGHT find some answers. But i'm thinking this is a bug type of thing.
