PROBLEM!!! QUARK 6.1 PDF export= Headache!

It just keeps saying it can't make my PDF's anymore. I'm on OSX10.3.3 running Quark 6.1 and I used to be able to make PDF's from Quark. Now the dam thing says I have an error every time I export.

Anyone have a clue as what is going on here?

Dayumm..don't think I can be much help there Benjo as I am in OS9.2 wtih Quark v5...umm...have you rebooted and everything? I realize that is a lamooo dumb question prolly but its worth asking! Sometimes when I get silly Quark errors, a reboot takes care of it...or dumping the preferances and rebooting so it rebuilds the pref. file.

Do you have distiller running in the background? I usually leave it up and running when I export to PDFs in Quark.

Any of this helpful?? LOL!

On Quark's website there is a download called quarkPDF.dylib. Quark said peoplew had found problems with PDF export if they had fonts in folders on their system>library>fonts file (which pretty much everyone will have).

It might be worth downloading that and seeing if it fixes the problem.

Otherwise try & get/install a new PPD file.

Ahhhhhh. I trashed the preferances and restarted my Mac. I'm all good again. I just made a PDF with optimized settings. I mean the thing is almost 60megs so I should be fine.

Thanks for the update and all the help.

Good old trash the preferances still works even in OSX. YEA!
