Flash Question

How do I make a flash movie loop through just once? I imported my movie, which is just an animated version of my logo, to my site but it keeps repeating and only want it to show once...Also, where in flash can I 'crop' my logo so that when I import it in dreamweaver it only shows the logo and doesn't import the enitre canvas on which I created the animation...I know I am not using the correct terms, clearly new to these web programs.....Thanks!

Someone else can probably help you with the looping issue better but you don't neccessarily have to 'crop' the canvas of your logo. If its in PS you can choose 'save for web' , preserve transparency and save as a PNG and you will not have a bg.

think i needed to be more clear about my logo. i created in in photoshop but then brought it into fireworks and turned it into an animated gif soit is an animated gif so that i could make it 'fade' onto the screen. so i did that but i coudln't find any way to bring it into dreamweaver as an animated gif. it is lookin glike i am going to have to import it into flash and save it as flash swf file and then bring it into dreamweaver or am i wrong about this? and then this goes back to my original question whihc is that when i import the .swf file into dreamweaver it brings in the entire size of the stage and not just my logo....totally confused as to what to do and what i'm doing wrong.....

okay, so it is saying that my logo is bitmapped...and i have no idea why. could this be part of the problem? but i don't get how that is...i did a save for the web in photoshop and saved the file as a gif and then as a png file and tried ot bring it into fireworks and both of them say they are bitmapped...if anyone has ANY advice for me i would REALLY appreciate it!!!!! thank you.

OK...I see what you're saying. You can animate in another program and it should animate once you insert it. Or, you can take your logo itself (not the animated version) and put it in flash to apply the fade. If you'd like me to do a simple .fla file with your logo fading in/out so you can see how to do it I'd be happy to. Just email me your logo to sam@simonssez.com . I'm not good with words but I can provide you a simple file and you can 'see' how its done there.

put a stop action on the last frame and it will play thru 'and stop'

flash cant scale images bring the image in AI or PS and make it the size you need and import it into flash

i had done the animation in fireworks and chosen 'no looping'and saved it as an swf file to bring into dreamweaver but when i insert it it still loops and i can't figure out how to fix this......
