is it ok to leave lava lamps on 24/7???
i hate having to turn it on evey morning and wait for it to liquify, would leaving it on all the time harm the lava?

Ya those bast*rds get HOT! Just to give you a clue how hot the bulb burnt out in mine and I replaced it with the one from my oven! no joke!

my daughters Lava Lamp is on a timer that comes on in the morning and later in the evening for a few hours, the timer keeps it from being on 24/7 yet it is on when she is around to see/enjoy it.
