Turn off full-sized screen in illy CS?

I know it's kind of a lame question, but I HATE how Illy opens even the smallest file in a full-screen sized window
(using Illy CS for Mac). Anyone know how to change this setting? Is it even possible?

i have the exact opposite problem with my illy (10, XP) it opens all the windows at quarter scale to my actual screen....booooo

have you tried messing with View > New View ?
