Guess who is waiting less tables and is working back in design...
I hope you guessed it, because it's pretty easy. I only toot my own horn
But seriously, I am now back behind a computer with my hands working on designs again. After an unfortunate incident (called the economy downward spiral), I found myself out of the beautiful Ad Agency I was at two years ago. I started waiting tables over a year ago, and kept looking for a job that would let me use my experience and degree.
Well that day has come. I'm now at Quiksilver in Huntington Beach.
Which means I will be back on the forum lurking and asking/answering questions. To those who knew me, I'm back. To those who didn't, you have been warned

Nice One Carter,
I'm on the same boat, been working in a restaurant for 1 1/2 years aswell, although constantly working behind the scenes, on a portfolio, so when the clients come knocking am ready. Ive just secured a contract with the actual restaurant that i worked for, thatll give me at least 2 months design work!
My life just got a whole lot rosier in the last couple weeks... there's nothin better _ cant wait for all the nightmare clients again!!

Hey I sorta remember you Welcome back to the madness.
Glad you're back in the fold, hope it isn't too pressing, and that you've scored a great job, and it's obviously a "cyan" of good times ahead, hopefully you can start moving into the black and stay out of the red, green-er grass, blue-er skies! Saddle up and bound perfectly to your new success, be the glue, be the thread! Let the good times Roll and have a RiPing time.

Welcome back Carter! Nice to see ya around again!
FWIW, I'm still waiting tables. I've been doing it for so long I think I'd feel incomplete if I wasn't.
