what is wrong with my shape tween?

attached are pics of the timeline and stage so you can understand what im talkin about.

i have text. i broke it apart into shapes so i can adjust their alpha blends. but when i apply the shape tween, the middle part between keyframes goes all screwy. i have no idea why its doing this. help please.

thanks

That is Flash for you, retro. The only real control you have over shape tweens in Flash, is either manually do it frame by frame, play with your Ease and Blend properties, or add a new key stages between the keys manually to help keep the tween in control. Maybe Flash MX 2004 has some new features (I only use MX 6)?

P.S. Also, make sure your shapes are closed paths. You may have better luck doing letter by letter (depending what exactly you're doing) if you're trying to change words into other words.

Forgot ... you can also go to Modify > Add Shape Hint (these kinda acts like a bezier anchor point).

well, theres a few frames before it whereas i used a shape tween and it came out fine. alpha blend and scale came out perfect. duplicating the keyframes didnt help either. *****in flash
