Recover lost files?

Illustrator crashed on me. Never happened to me before(at home neway). Usually I'm good about saving because my work PC sucks, but tonight for some reason I got into the design and forgot to save for quite some time I lost a couple hours of work.

Any way, is it possible to recover ANY of the work, or am I SOL? I don't think there is, but I thought I'd ask just in case. Miracles happen right?

Thanks

BTW: I'm on a PC, working in Illustrator CS.

Woo hoo! We live to suck another day.

I remember a friend's machine was switched off accidently, and they hadn't saved any work for a while either.

Now I'm still to this day unsure what he did exactly, but he used the system's time and date as a kind of restore point ... low and behold, his work was where he left off. I think you can only do it with Win2000 or WinXP machines though.

Just thought it was worth encouraging you, that it could be possible ... just not sure how to do it exactly. Sorry.

We have a saying at my work; 'the second time is always faster.'

BTW, unless you have Photoshop CSI, I believe you are pancaked.

You don't know what you don't know.
