What is better for creating graphics from scratch?

What is the best software (in your opinion) for creating graphics from scratch? PSP8 , Adobe Illustrator , Corel Draw , or something else?

of course they cost money, the people that develop them have to get paid. check out the student discounts on software, the expense is minimal compared to normal pricing. for instance, photoshop at regular price is around $650, but at academic discount it's ony $279.95. another, illustrator, regular price $500, academic discount for $89.95. pretty reasonable pricesand if you're just 13, you could ask your parents to help you out.</div>
here's the site i looked at for academic pricing: http://www.academicsuperstore.com/ma...%26+Multimedia</div>
good luck</div>

Woh I never knew that! I thought that PSP8 was the only thing I could afford.
Do youhave to be a regular old student to buy them or do you have to be like in graphicdesign?
Thanks!
