to upgrade or not to upgrade.. that is after all the question at hand

hey anyone ever in the history of their careers/non-careers had encounters with any versions of fractal design painter (any versions from 5 up)? as i may haf mentioned in previous posts elsewhere in this forum of forums im stuck with painter 5 at the moment and despite it being pretty outta date it gets me by fine (check eg. in showcase by me). i really like the set out of painter and wanna know if its worth going the latest version - if anyone has encounteredpainter or know of programs of similar calibur/layout OR you jus got sum useful advice im all ears!
