Logo with Initials
Trying to come up with a logo representing the 3 letters of a company. Having a hard time so I am hoping someone will be kind enough to have a look at what I have and offer some suggestion for improvement.
It's for an IT Solutions based company - family owned.
Thank You!

s ys tems needs kerned fo sho! I don't see IT company in it. just some random letter stacked on top of each other. I do like the 'systems' typeface. Are you making your own type or is something you found? Maybe find out a little more about the company? I don't know if IT is just IT or if there are different niches within' it.

I must say that I do not like the initials at all. I think the font used in systems has a techy feel that might be appropriate but I don't like the way the initials are done. You really need to do some brainstorming and sketching here to come up with some ideas. That's where I would start to come up with some concepts before actually working on a design.

I think the systems word could be smaller. I wonder if there is a font with a p and m that match the asymetrical shape of the A. I like it over all.

Thanks very much for the feedback.
The font for SYSTEMS is: Neuropol.
I agree with dsgordon though, the initials are really giving me issues. Combined they have no symmetry and I am at a lost at how to arrange them.
By IT Solutions, I mean development...database, front end (.NET), Web Applications, etc.
I also see that Systems could be kerned as well.

Has the client specifially asked for a monogram? Sometimes a monogram isn't the answer.
Try and come up with some concepts before turning on the computer. Design is a bit more than arranging letters.
A family owned IT company is a nice point of difference. How can you show this in your logo? Have a look at other logos for family owned business (not in the IT industry).

Yes, they did say that they would prefer a monogram. I guess for them they didn't just want some clip art and fancy font. They wanted to create something unique with their initials incorporated.

The letters seem forced together. When I think of IT, I think of making order out of something confusing. This logo seems to do the opposite.

Wow, none of you young'uns has mentioned that the initial portion looks the American Bandstand logo? I guess I'm just old.
Not necessarily a deal breaker, but I'd consider reworking the initials. I agree about the kerning of SYSTEMS. That's a tough font to use for that very reason. Honestly, not much about this logo makes me think of IT.
