Need logo ideas/suggestions!

Hi guys, this is my first post here!

I'd need some logo ideas/suggestions for my band, named "The Fuzzy Farm Machine". I've tried to imagine something but nothing comes to mind...

If you could help me I'll appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Hi EagleOne and welcome to GDF!

We ask that all new members take a few minutes read through important threads here and here. These will explain our rules, answer frequently asked questions and explain some of the long running jokes you'll run into.

Enjoy your stay.

Welcome to the forums!

Instead of trying to imagine something, how about sketching things out. Eventually something will come to mind.

What kind of music do you play? Research some similar genres and get a feel for the industry. Design for music is one of those industries where it pays to design in the realm of so that fans of similar music will be immediately drawn to checking out your band.

Thank you everybody for welcome!
I'm not a designer but I like design and I do some graphics in my freetime as hobby!
We play funk/soul music, I've got some ideas for the font (maybe this http://www.dafont.com/funky-deco.font ) but I'm still looking for a logo symbol or something like that... In other words, something to pull alongside the logo or a cool way to design the logo itself!

Be careful with free fonts. They usually come with restrictions on their use. For example, that font says you have to pay a shareware fee to use it in commercial work:

Quote:
Shareware notice:
If you choose to keep & use one or more of the FDF fonts you must register the font(s) and pay a
shareware fee of 10 $ / 5 £ for one font or 30 $ / 15 £ for all 8 fonts.
The registration counts for one user. This means you may use the fonts on both a home computer
and a work computer. But.... If you give or send the fonts elsewhere (fx. to a print shop) you
should pay a shareware fee for this copy as well.
Once the fonts are registered you may freely use them in any commercial or privat design work.
