Having layer problems in Photoshop

Somehow, someway (probably my own fault), Photoshop is now selecting layers automatically for me. What I mean is that when I select a text layer via the layers window and I go to drag it, if I don't actually have the mouse over a pixel of the layer I want to move it selects the background layer (or whatever layer i'm moused over). This is VERY irritating and frustrating. Does anyone know how to make it go back to normal? Thanks!

Go to your options bar at the top and theres a checkbox for auto-select layers. What it does is select whatever layer you click on.Turn it off.
