Actually, I was working for a national jewelry chain at the time. We had a pretty set color standard and you never use Pantone metallic for actual metallic objects (like jewelry), so we didn’t have Pantone issues. Those were still the days of hard proofs and press checks. So my job was quality control of the printing of millions of catalogues for consistency (11M at a pop) on a nice big Heidelberg Flexographic 12 plate machine, what a beauty.
