An idea is the very heart & soul of a democracy!
To have an idea and to be able to fully pursue an idea defines the very nature of a healthy democracy.
So, those who have been able to rise above the belt with their own ideas still intact … such as a Ford, Edison, etc., etc., these Individuals give far far far more back to a democracy than can be measured!
I’m really good at estimating for graphic design (12+ years experience) but as I’ve started to offer photography in the last 2 years, I admit my pricing is a bit all over the place. I need to figure out a rate card to stick to.
My contract photographers make it easy. They charge by half day or full day all inclusive, including post. That’s pretty much it. The post production may take beyond the full or half day, but it’s included in the day rate. (Travel and overnight per diem is additional of course.)
