I use a small strip of magnet at a set length and attach it to the vehicle before taking photos. I then use it to scale my photos at 10% before I start in illustrator, it’s surprisingly accurate if the photos are taken from the correct angle.

I actually really enjoy them because they’re reasonably quick to design, and I get to pocket a whole lot of cash- especially if I sell them to a freelance client.

And it’s fun to see your work going down the street.

I did a logo and wrap for a plumbing company many years ago. I saw one of their vans in front of a mechanic one time. The mechanic happens to be pretty close to my house. I called my client and asked about the mechanic. He gave them a good review, and i’ve been sending my own cars there ever since.
