• (1) non-photo blue pencil
• (1) micron pen or (1) brush pen
• (1) overpriced moleskine sketch pad
I admire you for using the entire tool belt but for this I like to keep it simple.

LOL @ toolbelt I don’t always use everything. It’s just what’s in my little drawing pouch.
I’m getting excited for October. I still don’t know if I can put out a little doodle every day. My brain flakes out on me occasionally. But, I’m going to give it a good try
My drawings don’t lend themselves to ink or tackling preset subjects, so I’ll skip Inktober. I mostly draw what I want to draw since, unlike Mrs. B, I’ve never been much of a professional illustrator. My toolkit Is paper, drafting film, kneaded erasers, an electric eraser, pastels, blending stumps, Castell colored pencils, and a full set of Staedtler Mars Lumigraph graphite pencils.
Speaking of Mrs B, here’s a less-than-great recent scan of a drawing of her from a camping trip to Idaho.
Your skills always blow me away Just-B
I’ve never had your skills. I’m a doodler and I’m ok with that. It helps get my mind off things stressing me out. I’ve done a few things on a more serious level … but I don’t think I would have nerve enough to post
This is about as close to actual life as I get.
For the most part all my stuff is abstract, whimsical, out there type stuff with lots of curvy shapes and repeating patterns.
Those are great! I love them. I have trouble doing the sort of doodles that you do. If I don’t have something to look at, I get lost. I think I have trouble visualizing imaginary things.
Thanks Just B This is what comes from all my daydreaming I used to get in trouble for
I have a drawer full of micron pens too.
.05s are the best, but they don’t last long.
^^^ truth. I really wished they lasted longer. At least I learned not to be too heavy handed with them (after wearing out a few nibs)
Life has recently poured some really large obstacles in my path. I only have two sketches roughed out. But ideas are written down for all the prompts. We’ll see what happens.

I tore some pages out of an old sketch book into little pieces to keep it rustic and not too overwhelming. I figured I could think of something to “ink” on a 4.5 x 4 piece of paper
