The thing about Lithgow is he can play the creepiest, chilling villain ever but he then was sooooo damn funny on 3rd Rock. Alll his work is a masterpiece. In one 3rd Rock he plays two parts, good Dick and very bad Dick. At times you forget he’s the same guy. He’s one of my faves.
My wife and I could use a new sitcom to watch. Is 3rd Rock pretty good? I know the gist of the show, but we didn’t watch it when it was on the air.
It’s very funny - don’t know how well it’s aged. But it’s hilarious if you can handle satire and irony, and some outdated views.
It was a well cast ensemble show, with some absurd writing which made it funny in a strange way.
Thanks. Now to see if it’s streaming on any platforms.
Before I got rid of cable it was playing late on TV. It’s freaking HILARIOUS. Yea it’s a little dated, no cell phones etc, but the ensemble cast is unhinged and Lithgow is brilliant. It’s on Apple, Prime, Google Play and Youtube. I’m actually checking the price on Prime, I might just buy the whole show.
I counted 11 villains. Surely they cannot be outnumbered by mere monsters?
