UI/UX Design

UI design and UX design are two of the most often confused and conflated terms in web and app design. And understandably so. They’re usually placed together in a single term, UI/UX design, and viewed from the surface they seem to be describing the same thing.

Short and simple:
UX is how users navigate through your UI.

That’s a restricted view or UX
With something other than a handheld device, the UX encompasses the ENTIRE user experience. In a large scale project, like let’s say a city zoo, The UX includes the entire park from its traffic flow to its interactive elements, all of them. Even the size of the bathrooms.

That’s part of the UX, but the UX also includes everything users experience while navigating through the UI. Yes, that includes some aspects of the UI design, but that’s why UI is always mentioned with UX — there’s overlap.
