Old Hippy. Recently lost my job as a Chemist which I held for 30 years, then the place sold and I am unemployed just when medical bills for the woman I love were growing dangerously big.

Now I am falling back on my Art and coding skills because the market for chemists is bleak for the type with my background (I was in manufacturing and that industry is all but dead in The USA while most demand for chemists is in pharmaceutical or other health care places who tell me my experience “does not align” with what they do.

Hoping to get my skills back up to professional level, but being self taught at websites I can’t get a real job doing it and the only people who will hire me are churches and porn sites, which I think is a WONDERFUL resume! Shows I can work with anyone, especially given that I am an atheist and laugh at the churches when they try to convert me instead of respect my beliefs.
