Hosting the photos - how and where do you host !?

, how do you host your images - i am currently musing about the setup of a new version - the self hosted option - that runs immich.

i am currently not very sure bout the pros and cons - so perhaps we can discuss it here. We can discuss the options - to switch from Google-photos to a self hosted system - and i would be glad to see a fruitful discussion,…

What is your goal? Online receptacle for your personal photos? Someway to share with family and friends? Are you looking to sell prints? Do you care about “likes” and “comments”?

good day dear Steve_O - thank you for the reply. I am a hobby photograher - and - well. i want to share the pics with friends. i want to sort them, tag them and - well if possible i would love to collect

a. likes
b. comments
etc.

The photos - they are personal - yes.

Not trying to cause a problem, but why are you using bad AI replies? At least take out all the - and make it a little more grammatically correct. Now this could all be mute if you’re actually a bot.
