It’s a big birthday and a significant one. Happy America people. Whatever you feel about the current situation, this landmark deserves to be celebrated. There’s always a ’current situation’ so ignore that and party on dudes.

No hard feelings about us abandoning King George III and heading off on our own, I take it? 
I don’t think Mrs. B and I will be doing any celebrating. I doubt there will even be fireworks here, given the dry weather and it being fire season. The orange guy who currently occupies the distastefully decorated and tackily gilded Oval Office has put a bit of a damper on what would otherwise have been a big 250th birthday party.

Quite the opposite in fact. We were glad to be rid of the troublemakers who founded the first colonies and it’s no surprise that you’re still making trouble 250 years on 
There are those who believe that Independence Day should be a British holiday too (myself included).
