I’m not into 3D but this is interesting!
Over the past 20 years, I’ve worked with four separate 3d development companies doing various sorts of marketing — some big companies and some small start-ups. A problem each had was making the complex processes involved with 3d easier for their customers.
Another problem was company culture. With one exception, these companies were dominated by mathematicians and engineers who didn’t quite understand why their products’ non-intuitive nature was so off-putting to a broader customer base. As a result, insufficient insight existed on how to simplify their applications’ UI/UX or to understand how potential clients might use their products.
Partially as a result, much of 3d remains confined to niche markets and geeky hobbyists.
