April Greiman fans?

Saw rare April Greiman Does It Make Sense? 1986 poster for auction on ebay, but its too expensive for me. I’ve been looking around for one, and have also seen a couple others too that are really pricey. Does anyone have any recs on how to find her posters that don’t cost an arm and a leg? Would love to have one

I’ve always loved April Greiman’s work. Out of curiosity, I checked her website. WOW! :astonished:

She charges $500 to $3000 for her posters, which are just printed using offset litho. I’d love to have one (or two or three), but they’re out of my price range.

I checked eBay and found her Does It Make Sense poster — probably her most controversial and famous. Considering the prices of her new posters, at $2700, that one sounds like a steal.

Wow, I could not fathom paying $500.00+ for a print of a poster :grimacing: :astonished:

If I really liked it that much, would just find a high resolution copy of the image somewhere and get it printed onto a large piece of paper.

I guess you can charge whatever you want when you’re iconic haha
Just wish there were some out there…

Found this:

BTW, this is the kind of Art where my college History of Modern Art professor would ask me, “okay, what don’t you like about this one, and why.”

I recognized the name and I remember reading about her work at university. Now that I come back and look at the poster, I get the feeling it ‘vibes’ with the young generations aesthetic. I’m also ashamed of using the phrase young generation because technically I’m still young (30).

I’m not a fan - it’s arty but the message is hidden by the complexity of the design. A cardinal sin in my book. Maybe it’s art not graphics.
