I work at a company doing their print catalog. We currently have over 250,000 images that are poorly organized and not tagged in a way that makes finding them easy. I’m only finding basic more person image tagging and filing software available. Can any one recommend a program that would be good for such a large image catalog? Maybe something with thumbnail previews of images, that deletes multiple images, and makes photo sharing easy.

I haven’t used it for several years, but I worked at a newspaper and subsequently at an agency that used Extensis Portfolio for digital asset cataloging and management. Like you’re facing, at the newspaper, we were working with hundreds of thousands of photos in the library.
