Box templates

Hi

I am in the process of making a website specifically catering to the subject. The site is: boxfiles . satvikpackaging . com. It is still in developement and only about 4 of the listed box files are generated by just specifying the size parameters. I will make 3 more box type file generator functions within this week. The site generates custom box templates in DXF format and the files are production ready. You can try them out.

As it is still in developement, you can request the admin to give you free credits for generating the files. So no charge also.

There are a number of free and paid options out there for generating box templates. How will yours stand out in the crowd?

That even I am exploring. But all I could find online were either for paper or cardboard packaging. I could find none for the rigid box industry. I tried searching but no luck. Please advise a few so I can see

I use Origami by Boxshot 3D

This one is again for the paper or cardboard boxes. Not for the rigid boxes. I request you to please check out my site and see the difference yourself. Or please correct me if I am wrong here.

I won’t be using your site for the basic reason is that it requires me to give up my email address which I’m not prepared to do for testing purposes. It wouldn’t be a problem if I was a customer or wanted to buy the product.

Origami lets you select the paper thickness Paper Presets in Origami and other things

To get a rigid box you just need to select the thickness right?

Or am I missing something here?

Is it just Rigid Boxes you’re offering - that’s quite a niche market, right?

Anytime I’ve needed a rigid box I go to the supplier of the rigid box and they give me the dimensions and most of them have a template already for the design portion of it.

It’s never really an issue with suppliers as they provide you with things you need.

I use Origami because I can show the end customer what the product will look like - even with all the branding and all the bells and whistles of a 3d Preview with the artwork on it.

And that’s all I need it for.

The dimensions, template, design guides etc all come from the supplier.

Pity I cannot try your site - but I’m pretty stern on not giving up my email to a site I might never use again.

Pity there’s no way to test without signing up.

Fair point about not giving your mail address. I too keep a separate yahoo address for this purpose only. Very old and works well.

And i have created the following user for you to test out. No more pity. Have even added credits to check generation of the 4 active ones

Userid is test . user @ satvikpackaging . com
Password is test12345

Others can use too
