Hi Im a student learning about graphic design industry hoping to get feeback on ideas of marketing products for retirees. Is it all faded colours, sunshine and white coats?
Welcome to the forum, Jojo1. Yes, please do share some of your ideas. I’m sure you’ll get some responses.
What do you think of domestic animals and gardens as supporting graphics. As a new student of social media, and Design Fundamentals…at 60plus…concepts and ideas will be my initial contribution. Thanks for any responses…
First, establish the primary concept behind the message you’re trying to convey before proceeding to the supporting elements.
I can’t think of anything that automatically ties domestic animals and gardens to retired people. However, if the problem, for example, is to advertise new homes in the countryside to recently retired people who have always longed to leave the rat race of the city, gardens and domestic animals in a pastoral rural setting could work.
As I said, the problem and the message must be identified before supporting concepts and graphics are considered.
Hi,
I think you should try to use marketing products for retirees does not have to be limited to faded colors, sunshine and white coats. Modern marketing for this demographic often includes vibrant colors, active and engaging lifestyles and diverse representations of interests and hobbies. Focus on themes like travel, wellness, lifelong learning, and technology to appeal to the varied interests of today’s retirees.
Thanks
I’m a soon-to-be retiree. I’m hoping my days are filled with color, sunshine, not too much heat, a nice day on the little boat I have. I might even put a hook on the line I have in the water (fishing is too much work sometimes if you actually catch something. LOL!) Maybe a trip to the Cape or to the mountains. No white coats and dull colors.
What B says.
Define your message. What are you selling?
White coats won’t sell hotrods or cruise ship berths.
Don’t be so blindingly generic.
Thanks…narrowing down the market to active, wealthy and home /family focussed. Will pull in some happy healthy images/of creative lifestyles.
Hi, Thanks. Health fitness lifestyle images will work for health products.
There are far more average folks than wealthy ones.
What are you selling that you can afford to target only the wealthy ones?
