I have an issue with our company logo. It’s been around for 100 years in various, but similar forms.
The image on the far left is the current logo and again on the far right, but on a red background. This color placement happens A LOT and the crest banners seem to disappear.
My question is, if we’re looking to have the crest easily disernable on all color backgrounds do we:
change the banner color to white? OR
put a white edging around the banners to make them pop more?
As I see that you really have different prototypes of the same logo but you don´t decide which one. Just one question because the symbol of this company is a chicken (or is it a rooster ?). Thatś the first thing i would change. It is a chicken or a rooster ? is it a fast food company (like KFC) ?
I would say it’s not popping because the size, shape, and prominence of the banners and text make them compete with the crest. I suggest doing a version where you get rid of those and just do the crest. And then do additional versions to soften the crest… round the corners a bit, and change the flat top to an arc. I’d keep the outer black outline but lose the inner one.
This is a fake logo for this forum only. Our company logo has the same issues though - crest banners the same color as the background.
What I’m asking is that because our brand has so much history, is it ok to mess with the colors of the banners or should i just be putting a white edging around it?
