I dunno about a dedicated Apple museum, but a place like the Smithsonian might like them. I can’t see an exhibit of them as enough of a draw for the museum to warrant the expense of having an exhibit built to display them though. Not without major funding and an endorsement from Apple themselves.
As for selling the prototypes on Ebay, if Apple sold off the equipment, then too bad.
