I was cleaning up some old folders on my computer and realized how much random stuff I’ve saved over the years just because I liked the idea behind it.
There are screenshots, movie scenes, interesting packaging, old websites, photographs, bits of typography, and even things that have nothing to do with design.
I’m curious if other people do this too.
Do you have a personal inspiration folder, bookmark collection, Pinterest board, or something similar? And do you actually go back to it later, or does it mostly become a giant digital junk drawer?
I find that sometimes the things I saved years ago end up influencing an idea much later, which is probably why I have trouble deleting any of it.
