Today I was helping a friend with a shoot for his clients website…So here comes these big bad ass photogs with big ass lenses and gear to the hilt. It was a massage specialist in an extremely small space. I ended up shooting the whole thing with my little canon g-16. I almost sold it last week… my DSLR got some bag duty.
That’s true. The photographer’s vision is more important in most cases than the equipment, unless you’re shooting something highly technical, like a speeding race car or a tiny bug, etc.
It’s always surprising how much a compact camera can hold its own, especially in tight spaces where big gear just gets in the way. The G16 is a solid little camera too, fast and reliable. Sometimes it’s less about the specs and more about being able to move easily and focus on the moment
