Doodles I Do, To Do With “Doctor Who”

Hey guys, thought I’d wake up the illustration section a little.
Not paid work, just a little bit of Doctor Who fanart I did recently.

For Tennant I was trying to go for a stylised yet detailed look, I’m quite plleased with the colours but not too sure on the likeness. For Gatwa I was going for a more simplified style, boiling down the forms considerably. The colour is rougher on this one as it was only 2hrs spent but I’m happy enough with the face (not so much the hand!)

I love them both … Tennant being my all time favorite Doc

Thanks Kat! Hope you enjoyed his specials. Wild Blue Yonder was my favourite of the three.

Oh I did  I’ve already watched all 3 a few times

I don’t mind the new Doc too much … but, I’m having a bit of a hard time with all the crying LOL. I suppose I’ll get used to it :stuck_out_tongue:

Jim are you using Photoshop for your art?

David Tennant impressed me the most in “Einstein and Eddington” some fifteen years ago.

Your illustrations are great.

Also, David Tennant was also in a murder mystery series called Broadchurch that was very good.

Yeah :+1:

When first I saw this thread I thought, well, my doctor does that every time he writes my prescription. Then I realized I was reading “Doctor Who doodles”.

Ha! Yes only the captial W alters it. Maybe I should’ve made it more clear! I don’t think I can edit the title, but if I could I would change it to: Doodlles I Do, To Do With “Doctor Who”

Do you have a brush set you like?

I’m still in the process of learning to use photoshop for this kind of art. I have more of a scratchy pen technique when inking too. Often frowned upon by the kids in the Discord where I used to hang out. (Not so much any more. Like all things, that eventually turned clique-ish.)

I highly recommend Kyle T. Webster’s “Megapack” of 300 brushes. You’re bound to find some you like in there!

Here’s a link, but you can get there by clicking “Get more brushes” in Photoshop’s brush menu.
