Events App Project

Hey everyone, I just finished working on an advanced Figma course in Skillshare (by Dan Scott) and want to celebrate the results of my learning with you! I’m sharing the prototype here - keep in mind that there’s no in-depth UI/UX and branding process cause it’s just to upskill my Figma skills, which I definitely did!

The mini brief was to create an events app for techno events in my town. The user flow is buying tickets for an event - in this case, the ‘Sunday Pool Party with Blake Webber’ event. But you can play around in the prototype to see other screens and features I was able to prototype (I had some limitations, partly due to being on a free Figma account) - have fun with it!

Please note, upon opening the link, if the animation of the welcome screen doesn’t automatically start, hit ‘r’ to restart - for some reason, this is happening when I open the link.

***Didn’t put this in The Crit Pit category cause I’m not specifically looking for feedback.

Great work on your events app prototype! It looks clean and easy to navigate, and it’s impressive that you were able to build out a complete ticket‑buying flow. Practicing like this is a great way to sharpen your Figma skills. Keep experimenting with UI/UX patterns and polishing the details — looking forward to seeing more of your projects.

Is it me or is it very laggy?

Hey @Baris_CH, the prototype is working smoothly for me. It’s possible the lagging is due to a delayed loading time upon opening the link, which happens for me too sometimes - I just hit restart again if I see it doing that and it ends up working smoother. If that doesn’t work, another possibility for the lag could be your internet connection as Figma relies on a good internet connection to run smoothly.
