External Hard Drive keeps crashing - WD My Passport for Mac

I bought a new My Passport for Mac WD External 2TB Hard Drive. I have connected it to my laptop through a USB device called Charjen.

I am trying to transfer from my OLD 500 GB WD Hard drive to my new 2TB Hard drive but it keeps disconnecting.

I have two errors that show up:

  1. Disk Not Ejected Properly
(But I don’t want to disconnect so why does it keep disconnecting?)

  2. The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data can’t be read or written. Error Code 36.
(How do I find what file it is talking about in order to change the file name or format in order to get copied?)

Any help is much appreciated.

Also, it could be that the “Charjen” might not have enough memory space to hold a 2TB USB Key? (Could it be that?)

Thanks

I checked there support page. This is a direct quote.

Why are my devices disconnecting or ejecting?

Two or more high-powered devices such as an external hard drives, iPhones, iPads, tablets, and other devices connected to the hub WITHOUT the USB-C Power Delivery port plugged is the reason.

High-powered devices require more power to make them run. You must connect a USB-C power cable from a wall power adapter to the USB-C Power Delivery port.
