Bit of a long shot, but is there a list of fonts with their example so that you can check what a font is if you are asked to re deign something?

I used to have books like that where you could look up a font. These days I just google it.

… and moved to Typography 
There are a few font searching sites out there. You upload the font and it will search it’s database for it. It will depend on how clear the image is. Results vary widely.
You can also search through Google Fonts.
And you can also upload it here and we can give it a shot. We are pretty good at it
There have been many success stories right here for people.
