My wife works outside of the home on Thursday nights, so I’ll be hanging out at home answering the door. Our neighborhood has seen an uptick in young families moving in over the past few years, so I suspect we’ll get a fair number of kids.

Being the Father of a toddler, I know the kids get really excited about this day, mine in particular as he just turned 4 really seems to care this year. However, as responsible parents, we need to make sure to check all those sweets before you let them eat them. Strangely enough out here in the Maritimes (Eastern Canada), there has been an uptick in tampered candy with needles, just last weekend at a trunk or treat event there was 2.

Around here all those stories turn out to be just stories. It doesn’t stop us Adults from “checking” just in case though 
No kids come around here anymore so my favorite part of Halloween is the discount candy tomorrow LOL.
